Scrutineer applying for a school or club

Some scrutineers work through a school, club, or other organization rather than only as individuals.

What this step is for

This step connects the scrutineer to the organization context used for support, permissions, or licensing.

How it works

1. Apply to the club. If it has Member approval switched on, a manager or administrator there approves you; otherwise you are in immediately.
2. You will be a Member unless somebody gives you more. That is usually right: Member is what you need to be represented and to hold a club-linked licence, and nothing about scrutineering requires club admin rights.
3. Check the club shows on your account before anyone relies on it for a licence

A club is not how you get event access. Those are separate: club membership is about representation and licences, while working an event means being added under Manager → Event → Users with Supervisor ticked. Plenty of scrutineers belong to no club at all.

What success looks like

The scrutineer is linked to the right organization for the federation path they use.
