School or club creating and getting a ranking
Schools and clubs do not define federation ranking formulas, but your member and team data heavily affects ranking correctness.
What this step is for
You support accurate ranking outcomes by ensuring member identity, team context, and event participation records are correct before and after publication.
Step-by-step
Step 1: Validate member identity and organization linkage
Before event close, verify:
- members are linked to correct school/club
- no duplicate member accounts
- team affiliations are current
Step 2: Validate class and participation context
For each ranking-relevant member/team:
- class assignment is correct
- age category is correct
- partner/roster context is correct
Step 3: Review event result publication status
After event, confirm ranking-relevant classes are published and final (no unresolved disputes).
Step 4: Review published rankings quickly
When rankings update:
- check top members/teams from your club
- compare against expected results
- flag obvious mismatches immediately
Step 5: Raise correction requests with evidence
When reporting issues, include:
- member/team ID
- event/class reference
- expected vs actual ranking outcome
- supporting evidence (published result references)
Common blockers and fixes
“Member missing from rankings”
Fix:
- verify member used correct account
- verify class/result was ranking-eligible
- escalate with event and participant IDs
“Ranking appears under wrong club”
Fix:
- verify organization linkage history
- confirm transfer timing and effective date
- request federation correction if mapping is wrong
“Team ranking does not match published result”
Fix:
- verify final published class result
- check for post-event correction notes
- escalate discrepancy with evidence
What success looks like
Your members appear in rankings correctly with minimal correction cycles, and any issues are resolved quickly with clear evidence.
