Class moves for your club’s competitors
Class moves are automatic. Every competition entry earns promotion points. When the organizer closes a competition, the points are added up, and a couple that reaches its class’s limit moves to the next class at once. The federation can also move a couple by hand. The club does not run or approve class moves.

What the club can do
- Check classes before registering. After a competition closes, a couple may have moved up. Registering in the class it has just left is the most common mistake.
- Look over entries before registration closes, on
Organization → Administration → Registration. An entry in the wrong class: cancel it and register again while the period is open. After that, ask the organizer. - Remember points belong to the couple or team. A new partnership, or a group with a new lineup, can be a new competitor with no points. Where the federation requires class membership, a new competitor can register for entry-level classes and is placed there when it registers. For a higher class, the federation has to place it there first.
If the federation has a couple in the wrong class
The club cannot change a competitor’s class or points. Ask the federation, and include the couple, the competitions it danced, and the class you expect.
