Organizing through a school or club

Many events are organized by a club. In Vote4Dance, being in the club and running the event are two separate things:

Your role in the club	The club’s Administration → Permissions	Club work: members, competitors, registrations, licences.
Your access to the event	`Manager → Event → Users`	Manager and the other event apps.

A club role does not give you Manager on the club’s events, and Manager on an event does not give you a role in the club. If you need both, you need both.

Joining the club

Open the club and apply to join. If the club has Member approval switched on, a manager or administrator there approves you. Otherwise you are a member straight away.
Or ask an administrator to add you directly: they search for you under Permissions and press Add. There is no invitation email.

Which club role you need

Role	Can do
Member	Belongs to the club, no admin access.
Coach	Competitors, registrations and payment.
Manager	Everything a coach does, plus approving members and the club’s licences.
Administrator	Everything a manager does, plus roles, federations and the club’s own details.

For running an event you usually need no club role beyond Member. You need Coach or higher only if you also register the club’s own dancers, and Administrator if you handle the club’s federation membership. See Club admin.

Getting Manager on the club’s event

Whoever created the event, or anyone with Manager on it, adds you under Manager → Event → Users and ticks Manager. See Users, apps and stations.

If something is wrong

What you see	What to do
You are in the club but cannot open the event in Manager	Ask someone with Manager on the event to tick Manager for you under Users.
You do not see Administration in the club	You are a plain Member. Ask a club administrator for the role you need.
Your application to join is not approved	It waits on the club’s Members screen until a manager or administrator approves it. There is no reminder, so ask them.
