When dancers, clubs or staff leave

Nothing here deletes results, rankings or class history. Retiring changes what is active, not what happened.

A dancer or couple stops competing

  • Class membership: set its Status to retired on Federation → Members → Competitors, with a Reason. Needs the Manager role or higher. The change is kept in History.
  • Licence: nothing to do. It turns Expired when its window closes. Suspend or revoke it only if the dancer must be stopped before then.

A club leaves or closes

  1. Its dancers’ licences name the club. If they move to another club, reissue each licence to the new club with Change organization. See Club transfers.
  2. Club-owned groups and formations can be moved to another club, or a couple released to compete independently, from the club’s Teams & integration tab.
  3. Then Remove from federation on the club’s page under Federation → Members → Organizations.

The club can also detach itself, or set itself to Retired.

A staff member leaves

  1. Give their work to someone else. Check the licence queue and any open corrections.
  2. Remove them under Federation → Settings → Roles & access. Administrators can remove Viewers and Managers; only an Owner can remove an Administrator or Owner.
  3. If they were an Owner, make sure at least one other Owner remains.
