Scrutineer account creation

This is the first step for a scrutineer. It makes sure event access starts from a clean personal account.

What this step is for

The account identifies the scrutineer for event assignments, permissions, and operational accountability.

How it works

  1. Create a personal account at vote4dance.com — first name, last name, email, country, password and the terms checkbox. You are signed in straight away; there is no confirmation email. The form is the same one every role uses, described on Dancer account creation.
  2. Use the name the federation and organizers know you by. You are found by name or email when somebody adds you to an event, so a nickname makes you hard to find.
  3. Tell the organizers which email address your account uses. That is the one they search for.

One account, never a shared one. Access is given per event to a person, and the log of who did what follows the account. A shared “scrutineer@club” login makes an event’s history worthless.

What success looks like

An organizer can find you under Manager → Event → Users by name or email, and tick Supervisor for you. See Event assignment.
