Getting ready for a new season

As an organizer you have no licence of your own to renew. What changes at a new season is what your dancers need, and what the federation has changed.

What changes for your dancers

• Licences are per season. A dancer’s licence from last season does not count; they apply again for the new one. Registration blocks a dancer whose licence has expired or is for another season. Tell your dancers early, because approval is done by a person at the federation. See Renew license.
• Age groups move. The federation moves couples up an age group at the start of the season. See Age and class transfers.

What to check with the federation

1. Has the federation changed its classes, age groups or rules for the new season?
2. Do the Federation Classes your classes map to still exist and still fit?
3. Which licences do dancers need this season?

What to check in your event

• Each class maps to the right Federation Class for the new season.
• The registration period’s dates, prices and allowed classes are new, not copied from last year.
• Problems in Manager shows nothing you have not dealt with.
